Sambal Goreng Buncis

This is a very simple bust tasty recipe that makes a nice side dish, or can be part of a rijsttafel

Ingredients:

Preparation:
  • 3 Tsp Ketjap Manis
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1 Tsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • White Pepper
  • 1 Tsp ground Ginger
  • 2 Pound fresh or frozen string beans
  • 3 fresh tomatoes
  • 1 Tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
Dice Onion and crush the garlic.

Fry in the oil for several minutes.

Add the ginger, sugar and sambal oelek and fry for a further minute.

Dice the tomatoes and add to the onion mix.

Add the water and bring to a boil, add beans and ketjap and boil for a further 10 minutes.

Serve with white boiled rice.
